    1. GUI Using System Preferences of your Mac

               2. Look for the Java icon to open the java control panel

               3. Look for the 'about' window and see the version

                2. Type terminal on it

                3. type java -version

               1. Click start button to open 'control panel'

               2. Type java to open java control panel
